The Continuous City is an in-progress photographic series by Gareth Damian Martin. The British artist, game designer and writer explores video game scenarios, taking screenshots of the buildings and infrastructures.
Now in its 10th year, HYPER JAPAN is an introduction to and celebration of Japan’s multi-faceted and globally popular culture, from manga and anime, through music, fashion and food to traditional culture, gaming, CosPlay and much more.
With two events held each year, one in summer and another in winter, HYPER JAPAN welcomed over 80,000 visitors in 2018.
In terms of both visitors and exhibitors, HYPER JAPAN is the UK’s largest Japanese cultural event.
Have you ever wondered how fun-loving pigs can be? Pigs are, after all, “cognitively complex”. They learn fast, have a sense of time, exhibit empathy, cooperate with members of their social communities, etc. In fact, many of their cognitive capacities can be compared to the ones displayed by other highly intelligent species we tend to respect more: dogs, chimpanzees, elephants, dolphins, etc.
