Richard Orlinski in Mykonos for his Solo Show

Accompanied by his impressive “BORN WILD” concept and his trademark animal sculptures, world-renowned French artist Richard Orlinski arrived in Mykonos during the peak of the summer of 2019, to attend the opening of his Solo Exhibition at the Kapopoulos Fine Arts Gallery in Central Matoyanni.

The gallery space was filled with art enthusiasts throughout the night, with Richard Orlinski being in a great mood, enthusiastically smiling, interacting with his audience and eager as always, to take photos with his unique sculptures. The wild kongs, the exotic panthers, the robust bulls, the powerful lions, the charming feline and so many more of his wild animals, stole the show and left the guests in awe.

“Richard

Richard Orlinski creates sculptures that represent the transition from seminal instinct to civilized understanding. He works through the concept of “Born Wild”, reflecting the main values of contemporary style which contribute to his creations a timeless feel that touch a wide audience, including children fascinated by the familiar creatures and vivid colors. He chooses innovative materials as resin and aluminum, but marble, stone and bronze are often seen in his oeuvre. His work has been exhibited at numerous institutions and art fairs around the world, including the Art Elysées art fair, Art Paris art fair, Artiferia in Bologna, INCEPTION Gallery and Opera Gallery in London.

The artist is represented in Greece by Kapopoulos Fine Arts and The Art Dose and he has a close collaboration and partnership with our curator Niki Kapopoulou. During his visit in Mykonos he stayed at the Cavo Tagoo Hotel where we had one of our exclusive displays for the entire summer. Niki was able to spent a lot of time with him and his team, explaining the services and concepts of The Art Dose, as you can see in the video from this blogpost.
