Growing up on a small farm, I lived amidst the peace and beauty of the natural world.

In particular, trees and light fascinated me. I became inspired by and sought out the way they made me feel.

After studying art and refining my skill, I developed a technique using oil paints to produce a truly illuminated landscape, intentionally creating both an image and an uplifting emotional experience for the viewer.

When I get to experience how my art is touching the lives of others, I feel a peace in my soul like nothing else.

To create my light-filled paintings, which I infuse with the hope of positive and peaceful energy, I spend time alone in nature. There is where I find the peace of God, a deep sense of calm, and the healing light.

I “gather” up these sensations to bring back to my studio and re-create them on canvas. Starting with a blank white canvas, I paint layers and layers of oils producing a visual dimension of heavily textured foregrounds using a palette knife, and smooth blended areas of the bright divine light shining through using a soft brush.

I believe we all have inside of us a peace, a divine light, a calming point of equilibrium, even in this fast-paced world.

If what we are filled with is what we give away, I’d love nothing more than my art to play a role in creating the ripple effect of positive waves of kindness, beauty, peace, and love.
